Spooky season is upon us! Well maybe I am a little early, but I want to go ahead and share these Halloween Peanut Butter Candies! In my opinion, these are a homemade take on these white Reeses Peanut Butter ghosts or the assorted Reese’s peanut butter halloween candy. Plus, making them yourself means you can decorate them however you like!
I did ghosts, eyeballs, and Frankenstein candies! Spooky candy for your Halloween festivities!

Okay, let’s start from the beginning. This recipe makes 14 candies but just keep in mind you can form the peanut butter mixture into different shapes and end up with more or less!
I recommend using these Ghirardelli melting wafers. The chocolate melts easily and tastes delicious.

You can make whatever shaped candy you like! I kept it simple with mine. Here they are in the pan before being dipped in the chocolate.

I used this pack of all natural food dye for the eye ball! I used this black icing on all the candy and this green icing for my Frankenstein candies.
How I Decorated:
The ghosts are super easy since all you’re doing is adding little eyes!
For the eyeball candy, I started with the dot in the middle and then made my circle. Finally I mixed in some of the natural red food dye into the melted white chocolate and used a chop stick to make the red “veins” in the eye.
The Frankensteins were easy too! I started with a green boarder. Next, I added the “hair” and the eyes. Finally I did the mouth shape and then went over it to make the “sewn” mouth.

Round Up of Ingredients:
- White chocolate melting wafers
- Coconut oil
- Natural peanut butter (runny and no sugar added) (this one is under $5)
- Maple syrup (pure)
- Powdered sugar
- Almond flour (this Amazon flour is an affordable option!)
- Vanilla extract
- salt
- icing decorations
I think the almond flour helps really achieve the Reeses peanut butter candy texture! This recipe was adapted from the Robin Egg Candy recipe found on the Crowded Kitchen food blog. I simply turned this into a spooky treat!
We would love to know what kind of candy you make! I think some little Dracula’s would be so cute! You could also swap out the white chocolate for some dark chocolate candies and that would pair well with the peanut butter filling!!
We hope you enjoy this recipe and all the Halloween festivities! It would be super fun to make these with kids!
Xoxo,

Halloween Peanut Butter Candy
Ingredients
Peanut Butter Candy Filling
- 1 1/4 cup natural, runny peanut butter (no sugar added)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (pure)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup almond flour
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
White Chocolate Coating
- 8 ounces white chocolate melting wafers (we used Ghirardelli brand)
- 2 teaspoons coconut oil
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, mix together the peanut butter, maple syrup, powdered sugar, almond flour, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Roll about 2-tablespoons of the peanut butter mixture into the shape of your choosing.
- Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze while you prepare the coating.
- Add the white chocolate and coconut oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-20 second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until fully melted.
- Coat each piece of candy. It is easiest to coat when they are semi-frozen. This helps the coating harden faster. Return the coated candy to the parchment paper.
- Decorate the candies! Enjoy!
