In this post, I am styling a Summer dress and making it into a Winter outfit. I think using a black dress is the easiest way to do this since you can layer on a simple base dress! This was an easy date night outfit I wore last week.

It helps that my dress is a heavy linen material in turning it into a winter outfit.

Outfit Details
- Dress: My dress is an old one from Abercrombie and Fitch. I found a similar dress here that is all cotton!
- Cardigan: My exact cardigan is linked here. I wear this one as a top and a cardigan. There are more sizes available in this cardigan because my exact on is running low. I like the cropped style in this sweater.
- Coat: My coat is actually a thrift store find! It is wool but is so comfortable and adds a nice chartreuse green pop of color.
- Boots: The boots I am wearing are from Petite Paloma Coco Cowgirl Boot in Bone and I actually won them in a giveaway! I have a few other blog posts where I style them here and here. I like having a classic pair of white cowboy boots in my wardrobe!
- Necklace: My exact necklace is linked here from the brand James Michelle. I really like the weight of this necklace and it adds a fun statement to an outfit. My Mom gave it to me for Christmas and I love it!

I think the outfit formula is pretty simple to make a Summer dress into a Winter outfit. Add a cardigan and boots and then accessorize. Voila! The necklace adds a statement piece here that pairs well with the cowboy boots. I also love the gold hues with the green jacket along with mixing the textures of wool and linen.
Stay warm y’all!
Xoxo,
Kemily
